Peanut Butter with Olive Oil & Honey
Peanuts are a miracle of my Allah’s creations, they are excellent sources of unsaturated fats, more than 75% of the total fat content is unsaturated, Peanuts are 25% protein, with high levels of the amino acid arginine, they also contain resveratrol, zinc, magnesium, copper and selenium, B-vitamins, folate and Vitamin E.
Peanut Butter is a popular “on the shelf” item, but it is made with vegetable oils, as per Wikipedia, “Some brands of peanut butter may contain a small amount of added partially hydrogenated vegetable oils, which are high in trans fatty acids, thought to be a cause of atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, and stroke; these oils are added to prevent the peanut oil from separating. Natural peanut butter and peanuts do not contain partially hydrogenated oils”.
It is better to make Peanut butter at your kitchen, & with the blessed ingredients of Tibb-e-Nabawi to increase the healing.
Dry roast the peanuts for a while, & blend them in a food processor with some Olive Oil & Honey, & you may add some salt. Such a blend will be so delicious.
